Vacancy Details, Educational Qualifications & Age Limit
- For Freshers (SUPT/JOT Posts) – No Experience Required:
- SUPT (Operator/ Fitter/ Electrical/ Instrumentation): 112 Posts. Qualification: Must have passed 10th class along with a 2-year ITI (NCVT/NCVET) in relevant trades (Fitter, Electrician, Electronics, Instrumentation, etc.) and possess an apprenticeship certificate. Maximum Age: 27 years.
- SUPT (Laboratory): 06 Posts. Qualification: Must have passed B.Sc (Hons) in Chemistry. Maximum Age: 27 years.
- For Experienced Candidates (TO & SO Grade Posts) – 2 Years Experience Required:
- Operator, Technician (Fitter/ Electrical/ Instrumentation): 118 Posts. Qualification: 10th pass + 2-year ITI + Apprenticeship Certificate in the relevant trade, along with 2 years of relevant work experience. Maximum Age: 35 years.
- Mining Mate (Gr. III): 21 Posts. Qualification: 10th pass with a valid DGMS Mining Mate Certificate of Competency and 2 years of experience. Maximum Age: 35 years.
- Jr. Foreman (Mines & Electrical): 11 Posts. Qualification: Diploma in Mining or Electrical Engineering with the relevant valid Supervisory/Foreman Certificate of Competency and 2 years of experience. Maximum Age: 40 years.
- (Note: Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, and 10 years for PwBD candidates).
Selection Process & Exam Pattern
Eligible candidates will be selected primarily through a Computer Based Test (CBT), followed by a Trade Test for certain experienced positions.
- CBT Exam: The online test will consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to be answered in 120 minutes.
- Syllabus Breakdown: 60% of the questions will be Technical (domain-specific), and 40% will be Non-Technical (Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, General Knowledge, and English).
- Negative Marking: Excellent news for aspirants—There is NO negative marking for wrong answers!
- For fresher posts (SUPT), selection is based solely on CBT performance. For experienced posts, the final merit list gives 60% weightage to the CBT and 40% to the Trade Test.
Salary & Training Details
- For Freshers (SUPT/JOT): Selected candidates will first undergo 12 months of Skill Upgradation Practical Training (SUPT) with a stipend of Rs. 12,000/- per month. This is followed by 18 months as a Junior Operative Trainee (JOT) with a stipend of Rs. 15,000/- for the first 12 months and Rs. 15,500/- for the remaining 6 months. Upon successful completion, they will be absorbed in the TO Grade (Pay Scale: Rs. 29,500 – 3% – 70,000/-).
- For Experienced Candidates: Direct induction into the TO Grade (Rs. 29,500 – 70,000/-) or SO Grade (Rs. 36,500 – 1,15,000/-) depending on the post.
